Need help with slow framerate

I've been using Cyberlink YouCam for a while, and the framerate used to vary every time I opened the program. It would be perfectly smooth sometimes for recording, and then when I open it again maybe a few weeks later when I want to record something the framerate is really slow. And now it's come to the point where it's been slow every time I open the program. If you don't really get what I mean here's two videos comparing what I've recorded in the past using the same settings.

I've tried changing back and forth in the settings - video quality, video resolution etc. but it never fixes.

Anyone know how to fix this problem? It might not even be to do with the software itself, maybe it's the hardware, but either way I would appreciate some help.

Cheers

Hi there,
Youcam only records 10fpm, so it must be something else. Perhaps anti-virus, or something else running in the background. If your lighting is different, lo-lite may look "skippy". Are you running the latest version of YC with latest patch? Have you defragged or used Ccleaner or similar to maintain your computer? Do you have the latest driver for your graphics card? Only the card-vendor can provide that.
Restore points before updates! These are only suggestions.
