Many members are aware of the following situation and this "sticky" is to inform those who may be struggling and don't know why.

nVidia’s new official driver v306.23 has an issue with their hardware encoder, making PowerDirector 10 &11 enter preview rendering mode every 5 seconds. CyberLink have made nVidia aware of the situation, currently a editor should rollback the nVidia driver to the previous version, v301.42, to work around the problem. Do not upgrade nVidia VGA driver.

CyberLink customer service dept are providing the same info.
