Quote: thank you, Carl

I have no problem installing. I have just wanted to clean it with a small tool registry keys of the many "MédiaCache" created by Cyberlink in the registry.
I found hundreds in my registry.

Excuse my English made with Google translate!!

Google Translate works!

If you found the keys, I assume you have removed "MediaCache".

I deleted the contents of multiple registry keys Cyberlink except
Key Reference system by "C" drive.
Hundreds.
A tool to make this work would be interesting.

You can see a reference to PowerDirector 13 not yet published!

Weird!

There is a tool. Revo uninstaller. And there are many Registry cleaners.
Search Google for "registry cleaner" without quotes.
Use very carefully, Registry Cleaners can be too aggressive.

Be very careful playing around in the registry. I would do no more than necessary.

PowerDirector 13 may be released in a month or two, so it may be Cyberlink is already messing with our computers.

I use Tunep Utilities or CCleaner. None is different key Cyberlink "MédiaCache".
I know the registry and I deleted about thousand unnecessary keys.

I'd already checked and all the listed values shows 0. Still i'm encountering the same problem if i'm trying to produce .mkv or h.264 video format. Appreciate any advise on this urgently.

hello, everyone. I've waited and researched forum but no solutions yet... here is my situation.
my downloaded PD12 Ultimate upgrade is v2420.
the software is installed on three years old Dell XPS L702X with Intel 2720QM & HD 3000 Graphics with Nvidia 550M in SLI mode.
I use it to produce 4K videos(MP4) from Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

when I've patched to v2930, I got the error message ' production unsuccessful, yada yada yada...'
I can edit and produce 1080p MP4 and 2K MP4 but WILL NOT produce in 4K.

only the error message. IT WILL NOT PRODUCE 4K!

so I've updated the graphics drivers for both Intel & Nvidia... when I rebooted into the desktop(welcome page is crystal clear),
it was UNREADABLE. reboot to SAFEMODE(F asap. KILL the updated drivers and PD12 v2930.

freshly reloaded the PD12.

now I'm at v2420, original downloaded version.
as before, I can edit and produce in 1080p MP4 and 2K MP4

but, no 4K and no error message. it will only produce audio. IT WILL NOT PRODUCE 4K!

I've checked regstry(regedit)... it's all zeros.
only work around I've discovered is UNCHECK Fast video rendering technology - INTEL QUICK SYNC VIDEO
then IT'll produce 4K MP4 video.

Preference section's Hadware Acceleration is ON (enabled OpenCL & hardware rendering).

I'd like to use Intel quick sync. it saves me time.
anyone out there have same experience as me??? 'no bridge too far'

well ladies,
I've found the answer to my own question.

in order for me to get rid of the 'production unsuccessful, yada, yada, yada...' and to get the HA back,
I had to further modify the Cyberlink registry of my 3 years old Dell XPS L702X laptop.

WARNING - messing with registry is bad for your wallet, proceed with extreme caution at your own peril.
me, myself and I isn't responsible or the Cyberlink of your mutated DNA(your non-responding computer).
do not blame my poor grammar, either.

alright then,
now we got that warning statement out of the way...

under the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cyberlink\CES_FunctionLogger\Data

is Powerdirector 12 registry folder.
in that folder is EnableHardwareDecode REG_BINARY 01 00 00 00 and
GPGPUSupport REG_BINARY 01 00 00 00.

I've changed to EnableHardwareDecode REG_BINARY 00 00 00 00 and
GPGPUSupport REG_BINARY 00 00 00 00.

the result is now I have HA and no production unsuccessful message!
wa ha, ha, ha... (evil and sinister laugh echoing...)

oh yeah, one more thing.
my PD12 is build 3403.
Intel HD 3000 driver 8.15.10.2455 and nVidia driver 285.77.
my video drivers are still 3 years old...

wa ha, ha, ha... (evil and sinister laugh echoing...)

Two thumbs up! This works perfectly.

You can paste this on notepad and save as .reg file (fixes hardware acceleration for HD and Full-HD MP4/H.264):

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\CyberLink\CES_FunctionLogger\Data]

"MSDK_MP4[H264,AAC]_1920x1080p"=dword:00000000

"MSDK_MP4[H264,AAC]_1280x720p"=dword:00000000

During production:
