My problem is that I can't re-install PowerDVDUltra. When I try to, it says: "An existing version of powerDVD has been found on your computer... Click "Yes" to install the current.." - When I click "Yes" the error message above appears. In "add or remove programs" it was the same problem. I removed all related products. In regedit i deleted all Powerdvd, pdvd and cyberlink regs. But still - same error message.

Hi there,
just purchased the Lite-on Ihos-104 and it came with PowerDvd 8 BD.
After installed I ran the update and downloaded the Lite-on update file (Lite-On.3228U_TaRe43_DVD090826-07.exe)
Trying to install it I got the "Error reading setup initialization file"

Tried using the method mentioned above but the info seems not to be relevant to this version.

any help removing the program and reinstalling it would be helpful.

and yes I have tried to uninstall via Windows remove software...

please help..

PowerDVD BD edition v8 will not open, get an update notice to download and install Lite-On.3228U_TaRe43_DVD090826-07.exe

set up wizard get through initial steps and then I am hit with; "Error reading setup initialization file" Same as Dov_c above.

Player is now non-functional and will not run without upgrade installed.
