Resolution is only at 320 in PAID VERSION, but higher in the free version???

I've used youcam since i've had my hp Laptop, over a year now...

i made sure all the webcam drives are up to date and working fine, they are...

i use the higher resolution of 640 to record videos and take pictures, i always have and never had any problems UNTIL I PAID FOR THE 5.0 VERSION TONIGHT... it says my computer is not compatible or something, when it was just a few mins before i installed the newer version...

I have no idea what to do, i also have free webcam software that not only does higher resolution pictures and video, but it says my cam is working fine. I would like the software i purchased to work great...

can someone please help me?

I have an HP Laptop running off of windows 7. Any help would be wonderful, thanks!
