I am having a problem creating subtitles in 3D.

If I had a subtitle to a 3D video, the produced version does not show any video, only the audio is heard.

If I produce the same 3D video without subtitles it's fine.

What an I doing wrong, or is it not possible to produce subtitling in 3D content ????

Hi,
I have just done the following:
1. I created a text file using the details from your profile page.
2. I edited the content to be 14 text lines
3. I placed a 3D MP4 video, 1:04, into VT1
4. I opened the subtitle room
5. I changed the font to Arial/12
6. I played the clip and as it played placed 14 subtitle positions on the (subtitle) track.
7. I stopped the preview and 14 active subtitle positions were generated.
8. I imported the "kingsmeadow" subtitle text file I created earlier.
9. All the 14 lines of text were added as subtitles.
10. I then went to Produce and selected the 3D tab.
11. I chose to use a 3D JVC profile I had previously customised.
12. The produced 3D mp4 played with all the subtiltles showing.

I used a 2core quad PC to generate the 3D video and to carry out this test.

Please see if you can match what I did and replicate the subtitle use in PD10 for 3D video.

Dafydd

I tried to replicate your experiment and it failed every time at the 99% point.

I then took a short clip of a SBS mpeg and created 1 subtitle point, and it worked !! I sent a crash report to CyberLink as requested, perhaps it might help.
However your technique definitely seems to work. I just have to experiment a bit more, which I am prepared to do. I did try one thing and chose a different font, and the edges of the subtitle flickered when played. So your choice seems the correct one as no flickering was noticed in my experiment.

Thanks for the help, remind me to send you a bucket of leeks Intel Core i7 3770K 3.6 Ghz,
