Hi,
A profile can be "edited" but it does depend upon what you're after.
You haven't mentioned much in your initial question. Please provide some more basic data.
Video source, format, frame rate, extension? What is the outgoing file being used for and what are you wanting to output to?

Please follow Part A and B and provide the information as well please. http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/7958.page

Thank you for your interest.

The problem is that wish to produce a video for my device (HTC Evo 3D)
.
In the tabs that I choose standard 2D do not have any possibility to change the resolution to 960 x 540, alone can create.MOV and this type can not play it with my device.

In the tabs I choose device, all which are presented to me are very low quality to mine. And may not edit or create new.

As recommended me the part A is: PowerDirector Ultra 10.0.0.1012

Hi Ramonft -

According to the manual for the HTC-EVO-3D it supports the following formats for playback:

.3gp, .3g2, .mp4, .wmv (Windows Media Video 9), .avi (MP4 ASP and MP3), .xvid (MP4 ASP and MP3)

The standard profiles available for Windows Phones are WMV9 640x320. There's no 960x540 profile.

If you drop the attached profile (WMV9 960X540) into C:\Program Files\CyberLink\PowerDirector10\Language\Enu\Profiles, it will be available under Produce.

In PD's Produce module, under Device, choose HTC Touch > WMV9 Windows Mobile Platform - HQ

Disclaimer: I am not familiar with this phone, nor have I tried to output a video to such a device... but I do believe it'll work for you.

Cheers - Tony

Hi, I tried the profile that you sent and working properly for 2D videos formats.

But to produce one in 3D with WMV9, only with it see it in 2D with the split screen SBS.

Had the possibility of having a profile in mp4 with resolution 960 x 540 and 1500 Kbps

thanks

Sorry - I wasn't aware that you were talking specifically about 3D videos.

I'm afraid that's w a a a y out of my league! I wouldn't dare advise you further, but I'll be very interested in the responses of other members. I love learning.

Hi Ramonft ,
Please provide a 5 to 10 second 3D sample from your HTC Evo 3D.

SbS may be the correct display option for the video you have however the video produced by PD10 may not be interpreted and viewable from within your device or transmitted out in 3D.

For example a SbS mts file brought into PD10 was initially viewed as a 2D file and both frames displayed. It was only when a corrective options was taken did PD10 then view a single side and fill the screen with one resolution video. I fear something similar is happening at your end with the video Produced.

A sample file will help a great deal.

Dafydd

Hello, as requested me to send you a sample taken with my device.

Also send you a txt file with the information of a video that happened to me produced by other means and that it can be visualized in 3D on my device.

It should be noted that I can not take as a profile for my production profile that gives my HTC evo 3D because that resolution end product occupies 6 GB and cannot exceed the 4 GB, that's why wish resolution 960 x 540

thanks

Hmmm -

Not being clever enough to edit MPEG-4 profiles, the best I could suggest would be to choose a custom MPEG-4 profile (say 1280x720) by clicking the + button. In theory, lowering the bitrate to the minimum will reduce the file size, but I just selected 6000Kbps & PD spat out a video @ 19MBps...

Is the 4GB limit set by the phone?

Someone cleverer than what I is might be able to help you further.

Cheers - Tony

Hi Ramonft,
Thank you for the extra bit of information in the RAR file.

1. I noticed the file info was for a *.m4v, an mpeg4 file. If you need to please try converting the extension from *.mp4 to *.m4v

2. Please read up the profile tweaking instructions I have previously posted:
http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/17939.page
The instructions cover a 2D setup for PD9 - the basic guide info remains the same.
You should:
2-1 In PD10 Produce, select the 3D tab
2-2 Select Mpeg-4
Once you have your custom profile set you can then proceed to make the changes you want to the custom profile after you've shut PD10 down.
C:\Users\YOUR-PC-NAME-HERE\AppData\Roaming\CyberLink\PowerDirector\10.0

OR

1. you could download the attached text file
2. copy'n'paste the information into the Profile.ini (The ini file can be opened with Notepad), at the end of any other profile data within the *.ini file.
Profile.ini is located at:

C:\Users\YOUR-PC-NAME-HERE\AppData\Roaming\CyberLink\PowerDirector\10.0

3. Copy it to the last position in the Profile.ini
4. and then select save and close.

Please make sure you make a copy of your profile.ini file BEFORE making any changes - a backup is a fall-back.

Then

Go to open PD10
In Produce select the 3D tab
Select Mpeg 4 option.
Select Custom in "Profile Type"
In Profile name/Quality: select Ramonft002[Double]

Now you can Start the render, and afterwards see if the video works for you.

Remember:
1. The extension may need to be changed
2. To come back and tell us the results.

Dafydd

Edit I have been editing my instructions somewhat to make the information a little clearer.

Hello, reiterate my thanks for your help

. Ynotfish, must be the result of less than 4 GB because the format of the card is FAST32 and this format does not support higher files.

Dafydd, the profile that I supply works perfectly. A video in MPEG-TS format of 34 GB to produce through the profile given as result perfect 1.05 GB for my device.

In addition the original file is already SBS which is why what I have produced in the 2D tab and in my HTC evo 3D see it well to 3D.

I will keep trying your advice to create own profiles. Is it missing from the same PD10 can do and have to resort to back doors.

Hi Ramonft,
The "tweaking" of the Profile.ini is something I have done for quite a while, especially when trying to create Profile templates outside the fixed normal range.

PD doesn't have the ability except by substituting information in a Custom made profile. It is "by design" in PD as it makes sure that editors keep within a fixed range.

Good to know you were successful and my information helped. I have used the same method to alter the GOP pattern - you have to be careful
