converting from Sony's m2ts format

My base file is from my Sony video cam. The file is in their .m2ts format.
Can I use Power2Go to convert it and burn it to a DVD that can be viewed on a TV, thru the DVD player....or into another format that can be viewed on a computer that doesn't have Sony's PMB software program on it?
