I reported in another thread that SLI doesn't work with PD10 I based that false statement on the driver not reporting a SLI connection However as I type this I am rendering an MP4 both my GTX460's are running at max Mhz and utilization of the GPU's runs up to 54% and swaps cards at some trigger, so I can confirm that both nVidia cards are used.

Thanks...now I know why it works for you...that Beta Driver fixes some of the SLI issues and should get better when they release the WHQL version.

Shows one good reason to try newest drivers with the newest cards...the BSODs some Betas cause, are a reason maybe not

Got them because I play BF3 : but yes always had some problems with SLI and it surprised me to see both GPU's working hard in PD10 a 2.5Gb MP4 took just on 20 minutes.

As I use 2 monitors the next fix should be to get the primary to settle back to rest when not in use.

That is interesting I am on Win7 64 bit using the same driver with the same 460 SLI cards (Not over clocked, just default settings) and using MSI Afterburner which shows stats from temp, gpu usage, fan speeds etc etc.

Afterburner shows GPU2 at 35-40% and GPU1 at 6-10%. I will say I reverted PD back to default as well to OpenCL if this makes any difference. So for me SLI still doesn't work in PD.

Also on this same test I watched my CPU usage and it was hovering around 90-100% at times. So is hardware acceleration actually working? Too many questions for this early in the morning.

To tell you the truth with most of my videos under 15 minutes I am not going to worry about how fast it renders any more, it renders fast enough for me. My youtube channel====> http://www.youtube.com/user/relate2?feature=mhsn

Something not right with that setup! have you run say Heaven benchmark from Nvidia?.

If you monitor your cards you should see both cards working under SLI, GPU1 will take most of the load but push off to GPU2 as needed, running Heaven you'll see both cards running at full speed and utilization on both cards at 95+%.

Trade off is the temps will sky rocket to nearly breaking point so keep a watchful eye on them.

With PD10 both my cards in rendering are running full speed, utilization is higher on card 2 than 1 I assume that's how cyberlink may have coded the use, but both cards are definately working.

Hi David,

Thanks for the information but everything is working. Maybe not at full speed, but it's working and I am going to leave well enough alone before I stuff something up. My youtube channel====> http://www.youtube.com/user/relate2?feature=mhsn
