Capture problem and Where's the shuttle wheel?

Up until now I have been running PowerDVD 6.0.

Now that I have version 9.0.3901.019, my DVD captures are coming out in a resolution of 640x480 instead of the native 720x480 as they should be. I have selected the Capture Aspect Ratio of "Original video source size".

I'm aware of the Custom Size setting, but I just want the pixel-for-pixel image that is on the source material, like version 6.0 provided.

Another feature that I want to use is the shuttle wheel for speeding through media (as version 6.0 had). How can I enable this is version 9?

If these features are not available in 9 (or 10), what is the last version that had these features that is compatable with Windows 7 64bit?

Does anyone have any ideas on either the capture resolution issue or the disappearance of the shuttle wheel after version 6?

the "shutter" wheel has been removed after PDVD 6

I can not reproduce your issue about the snapshot - can you post more info about your system?

That's too bad about the wheel being retired.

I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 on an HP G72 laptop. PowerDVD version 9.0.3901.019. All system updates are the most recent available from Microsoft Windows Update as of today.

The DVD's I've tried are regular commercial DVDs that are encoded in 720x480 resolution. I have captured from them with PowerDVD 6 without issue.

On PowerDVD 9, when I set the capture setting to "Original video source size", the capture files are not at the encoded 720x480, but are converted by PowerDVD to 640x480. It doesn't matter what the player window size is, the captures are converted to 640x480 every time. It appears that Power DVD is keeping the aspect ratio, even though that option is not checked off.
