So where did you tell the computer to save the download?

When you do a download in Windows don't you get the save box that asks for a location? Or do you just click whatever the computer comes up with?

It is on your computer somewhere. Do a Search for "Cyberlink" on your computer.

Cyberlink usually puts their name in the download exe.

Thanks for the assist, when I do that I get a large list of partial downloads for both PD9 and the contents package, when I click on the "application" file (the whole contents download it just trys to reinstall?

sometimes I get a SAVE which should be the correct button then there is a choice of SAVE AND RUN

I can't get either just an atempt to reinstall????????????

I am plling up my downloads locating the "application" line which shows the contents download at 702, when I click that it wants to reinstall

Save and run (doesn't it say "run"?) downloads the entire kit in some temp folder and subsequently installs the product.
If possible, I'd go for "Save" so you can re-install later if needed without needing to repeat the download.
But this of course assumes you got a full download to start with and from what I read sofar, that is still a problem.

Just ran install again, goes throught setup process, instlalls smartsound button "Finish" comes up, click that and the icon dissappears nothing loads nothing runs, just nothing

When I try to delete the partial downloads message says no because IE is usng?

Even though I have PD 9 on my machine and have an order confirmation number, the unlock key there is no PD 9 anywhere on my products list page

There was yesterday with a question or? not clickable

The contents page shows 791,891 download and shows "application" the partial downloads just show partial not application

forgive me, but I am getting a bit confused reading your posting.
Do you have the .exe file for the program? ( My 2330 is 107 445kb)
Do you have the .exe file for the content? ( Mine is 728 483kb)

If you do, then the installing should be easy.

Am I to understand that you have partials of the content pack?
Or- is the problem that you cannot find the downloaded file? (Folder Download)
Or- did you in fact click "run" - instead of downloading first, shut open windows and then go to .exe file?

First of all if you should have kept all the posts on this in your original thread "just Bought PD 9 64 Deluxe " so everything including your solutions can stay together as a package. Not scattered all over the place. It makes it easier to keep up with it.

Wow.... now we are really confused.... Did you end up with only TWO downloaded files? One main file and one contents package? How long did it take to download. Cyberlink is not the fastest servers on the planet. The are busy...

All those partial files are incomplete download attempts. You may have fast internet... CL does not...

You should have ended up with two files like this...

In my previous life teaching 5-12 year olds, I occasionally used this graphic as a discussion starter about conflict resolution. These donkeys have helped many wayward lads! It's worth a thought.



It's my firm view that personal/derogatory comments ought to left out of the discussion, and that members ought to be accepted as they are, whether newbies or oldbies & whatever their standard of English usage is.

I think the experience descriptions above need a balance. A little hesitant, I did bite the bullet and purchased PD9. I had a question on whether go buy the upgrade or full version given my PD7 OEM installed version that got removed by the trail. My question was misplaced but after asking again, Customer Support came forward rapidly and with lots of appologies for what had happened.
So I purchased my version, got a key and download location for the coming month, sat through a relatively slow download hoping all would end well and it did. The EXEs did run and PD9 got installed - even (I should not be surprised, but still) the old trial project files were read properly.

So things can go right also. Fortunately.

Now's hoping for some needed improvements on the current shortcomings of PD9 (but still better than the competition in my opinion). Meanwhile... I'll start using PD9 for real. But a trial month certainly allowed me to build confidence in the product.

just a tiny glimpse, when you turn or roate a pic, the program puts your rotated pic goodness knows where (at the very bottom) how stupid is that?, I threw the fishing vid up hoping some one whould take notice, but alas, too busy ridiculing folks trying to fix this mess
