Win 7 64-bit Blue Screen

Bought a Samsung SH-B123L BR player and CD/DVD writer for a new PC I built last night.

Installed the POwerDVD9 software that came with it. in order to test playing BR.

Every time it would play for about 30 seconds and then blue-screen the OS.

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
i5-760 Processor
8GB RAM 1333
1TB WD Caviar Black 7200rpm (will be augmented later by a Patriot Inferno SSD)
Samsung BD-ROM DVD writer
ASUS P7P55D-E-PRO motherboard (sata 3 & USB3)
Zotac GTX460 Video card currently driving one 1024x762 CRT by VGA.

I've updated the Samsung BlueRay firmware. I've updated the Video Card drivers. I'm not overclocking, and this is a completely clean build.

I know that a search on "PowerDVD 9 crashes Windows 7" will result in many hits, and it seems that this is not uncommon.

However, I'd like to fix it, or take the drive back and try something else.

Any help is much appreciated as this is a new PC I'm building for my wife.
