What is PowerProducer and do I need it?

I have PowerDirector Ultra and have been playing around with it creating videos. I have burned a couple to DVD using the included menus as well as some found on DirectorZone.

What exactly is PowerProducer? It looks like it is a program to burn videos to DVD. Does this do something that can't be done in PowerDirector or is it something you would use if not using PowerDirector? Just curious if it is something that I should use in conjunction with PD.

Thanks,
Glenn

Hi Glenn -

You're right. PowerProducer is just a scaled down version. It doesn't have the more advanced editing features of PowerDirector, even though the two have many similar functions.

If you have PD, PP is superfluous. If you don't have PD, PP allows you to make videos & burn discs.

Cheers - Tony
