Hi all, i have just installed PD13 after coming from Premier Pro because its a but too in depth for me.

Now i can preview all videos .MTS as clips, but when i add them to the timeline the movie preview will play audio but display a green screen.

I can see from search that this issue is usually from hardware, so heres my specs if anyone can help.

PD13 Ultimate 13.0.2104.0

Serial DRS140721-01

Bitdefender antivirus.

Attached is Pc specs.

Sure is frustrating when you get a new program and it wont work properly.

Thanks four your help!

Specifically, what button is the "third" button?
Have you tested a newer driver, if applicable?

Sorry i mean the 3D(enable 3d mode) button below the preview screen.

I have the most up to date driver for my video card driver is up to date, will i also need to check onboard graphics? I assune the program should use the card?

Edit onboard driver up to date too.

Ok so i turn off shadow file feature, clear out all of the shadow files and try again and still same result.

After restarting the program, all seems to be working fine now!

Could the shadow files really be causing the green screen issue?

So further on this.

Shadowfiles off, seems to working properly, so i do a little test project, drag files into timeline, transitions, text effects etc all working well, then drag another clip onto the timeline and screen goes green again, again if i enable the 3D mode it will play normally.

I save test project and reopen....working normally again in 2D mode.

What Gives! Could PD not be using resources properly or something?

Anyone any help PLEASE.

Not sure if anyone has posted this fix, but I was just searching for a solution to the green preview screen. By trial and error I fixed it by unchecking "enable hardware decoding" under Options -- Hardware Acceleration. go to regedit.exe
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/CyberLink/PowerDirector13/VideoRenderer/VMR7
change that to VMR9
back and forth.

green or black preview screen hasn't been fixed since I've been using PD!

I had the same problem a few times. I removed one frame at the start of video to fix it.
