Hi there

We have a known issue that Optimus users (with an integrated Intel graphic chip) cannot select NVDIA card even it's default.

We are co-working with NVIDIA to get this fixed. Stay tune and sorry for the inconvenience.
Hi

We're investigating your issue. In the meanwhile, can you test if PowerDVD 11 Trial can work in the same environment?

Hi there

After co-working with AMD, most crash issue has been fixed after AMD 11.5 driver or later.

Issue fixed in AMD Catalyst 11.5 driver
- PowerDVD no longer randomly crashes when HDMI 8 Channel Audio is enabled.
- PowerDVD no longer crashes intermittently after enabling / disabling Crossfire during BD playback.

For more info about AMD Catalyst 11.5 driver, please visit their release note to know more.

Hi

Yes, you can. Some newly released TVs do support both polarized and HDMI 1.4 3d, but polarized 3d+passive glasses causes half resolution.

passive glasses + passive 3D - half resolution 3D
active glasses + HDMI 1.4 3D - full HD 3D

Passive 3d includes checkerboard, polarized and anaglyph.
Active 3d includes HDMI1.4 3D, 120Hz time-sequential 3D

Suggest you to visit a 3DTV distributor to see the difference before buying a 3DTV
Hi Superb

You will get double resolution 3D image via HDMI 1.4 3D!
Hi billrobpv

I am afraid you bought a wrong version. Ultra can play back Blu-ray movies, but what you bought is Deluxe.

Suggest to refund what you bought, then buy PowerDVD 11 Ultra instead.

Request a refund if you bought from us.

Hi

We've known that few customers can't get 1080p@24 3D via HDMI 1.4 with their 3D TV sets. The error message in PowerDVD11 will be "unable to start 3d playback on this device, please try another one"

Part of these customers can manually select 720p 3D instead. We're investigating this.

BTW, the latest AMD/ATI, NVIDIA, Intel graphic cards and their drivers all should work with PowerDVD. Users are encouraged to contact Technical Support if encountering an compatibility issue.

Hi

For copy protection reasons, AACS key for PowerDVD (Same as other bluray players) must be updated yearly. Please make sure you are using the latest patches for your PowerDVD, or it will result in new released bluray titles can NOT be played back.

Download patches from here:

Hi

Totally understood and thank you, I'll pass this issue to our RD team.

Btw, can you post your system info here for further investigation?

Try these steps to enable "non-decoded HD audio to external device"
1. Insert a Bluray disk
2. Press play button, then the Bluray is playing
3. Press pause
4. Check audio settings in PowerDVD
5. The option is poping up under the HDMI mode if the disk and your device all support Dolby TrueHD or DTS HD Master audio.

Note
If you are using AMD graphic cards, please make should you have upgraded to the PowerDVD 10.0.2429 patch(released on 2010 Jun 5th) or later.

Hi

"...If I set the setting to Video Enhancement to off..."

I am not sure about this. Is this Video Enhancement settings in PowerDVD?
