In another thread: https://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/64208.page#292456 the last poster said that when he upgraded Power Director 13 to 16, it left 13 on the system. Most program upgrades would delete the old version of the program. Just curious, but why does it leave the old program? And the old program will still work as before? So, they're completely seperate installs?

Hi Joe
Your PD 13 will remain on your system, you'll even be able to continue to use it after you've upgraded.
All your titles that were available in PD 13 will be available in PD 16.
But once you start to edit and save projects in PD16 you'll not be able to edit them in PD 13.
The thing is, once you start to edit in PD 16, you won't want to go back to PD 13! PD16 is such a big improvement.
Cheers
Dave F. I just want to edit and make pictures, walk my dog and go fishing.

if you think you'll use .MOV container in the future by a smidgen chance, then let it be. PD13 will produce up to 1080 fHD.
PD16 will import certain .MOV files but will not export Format Support . the trick would be produce in .MP4 then change it to .MOV...^^

happy happy joy joy
