Dear forum community,

Users who have installed the Windows update "Security Update for Microsoft Windows (KB4013429)" may experience CyberLink program crashes when the Windows DVD Player mobile app is installed on the same PC. Microsoft has released a fix to resolve the issue. Please implement the solution in the Windows update ( KB4015438 ) released on the Microsoft website to resolve the issue.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4015438/windows-10-update-kb4015438

If the CyberLink program crash condition persists, please select the option within the program to send the crash report back to CyberLink and then contact CyberLink Customer Support.

Please note that the original post was dated MARCH 21, 2017. There have been several Windows updates since then. If you are still having the problem, do as Cyberlink-Hicham suggested.

Got Ya! Thanks for this info. Cyberlink is near impossible to contact unless you pay for phone support & the answer here hasn't helped me one bit. I'm forgetting Powerdvd & starting a search for another player. Their burn software is ok but player software is junk.

Thanks Again!

Mr C7

It looks like the Windows 10 Fall update is causing all kinds of problems. Search the web for reports of problems and of the fixes.

For instance this one.

and this one:

As always, be careful of any fixes you find on line. .
