I just purchased Power Producer 6 Deluxe. I am trying to add a custom background (video) for my DVD menu template, however, I am unable to click the "+" button to add a video or image to Creating Custom Disc Menus

I checked out the help menu, and here is what it says to do:

Using Custom Menu
Background
You can import your own photo or thumbnail
from a video, and use it as your menu's background.
To use a custom background in your disc menu,
do this:
1.
Within the Customize Menu window, click Templates.

2.
Click "+" and then select the photo or video you want to use to import
it into CyberLink PowerProducer.templates.

I followed these instructions, but the "+" button next to the drop down menu is not highlighted, like the feature is not available.

I also attached a screenshot so you can see how the + button is not highlighted.

Thank you for your help!

I have used an earlier version of PP in the past. Not all cyberlink supplied menus can be modified. Those downloaded from the DirectorZone can be customized.

Let us know if this solves your problem.

It is because some of the menus include a "opening video" before menu show up. (for ex. the one in elewellen's snaoshot).

If it is allowed to change menu background then the menu will be very strange when playback from the "opening video" to main menu.
