PD download file package

Greetings All.

So I just recently downloaded and installed PD14 on my Win 8 HP laptop. I was previously using PD12. I noticed that this latest package had quite a few more files than PD12 did. My questions:

a) Is there a place that I can find a description of what each of the files is?

b) Do some of those files have to be installed separated/individually?

One of the reasons I'm wondering is that when I went to the Title Room to find a title, it seemed like there were only a very few choices compared to PD 12. I was under the impression that, if anything, there would be more in the later version. So I'm thinking that I'm likely misunderstanding something about the package of files.

Thanks in advance.

It's been a while since I got PD14 but I still have all the downloaded files.

I'm looking at 10 "application" files.

I believe...
1_CyberLink_PowerDirector14_Ultimate_VDE150720-04.exe
2_CyberLink_PowerDirector14_ContentPack_Essential_PCP150526-06.exe
3_CyberLink_PowerDirector14_ContentPack_Premium_PCP150526-01.exe

... need to be installed in sequence. The rest are basically "add ons".
I see a wedding pack and a holiday pack. They add additional PiPs and templates etc.

Sorry, that's all I can help with.

Thanks jcardana,

I'm not certain about this, but I was under the impression that when you begin the installation of the 1_CyberLink_PowerDirector14_Ultimate_VDE150720-04.exe, it automatically installs the other two.

Do you think that is right? Or are you saying that #1 and #2 have to be individually installed as well? Because actually, all I installed is the first one. That might be why I am seeing such a limited number of titles (like 7 or in the Title Room.

I was pretty much assuming what you stated about the wedding and holiday packs.

But there was also adorage-vol1 64 and 32 bit, and Color Director4_Ultra. And so I'm also unsure about what those are about and what to do with those.

Adorage is an additional Transitioning "module". Install and check it out. If you don't like it, just uninstall. It's basically a plug-in.

Color Director is an add-on to PD. There's also a Photo Director and Audio Director addon

I don't remember if I had to install 2 & 3 separately or not, sorry. CyberPowerPC | Win7HP-64 | AMD FX-8320 3.5 Ghz | 8GB Mem | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB | WEI 5.9

I downloaded and installed 11 different files with PD14 Ultimate last month (none of them automatically install the others). If you don't install all of them, you'll lose some of your functionality. I didn't download the 32-bit version of Adorage, so it is gone forever (30-day period expired). You do need to download both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Adorage and Vitascene.

P.S. Save the downloaded files and the keys in a safe (backed-up) location. If you ever need to re-install PD14, they'll still work. CL won't send you new ones after 30 days.

Thanks Dan,

That clears some things up. I was going to ignore the 32 bit adorage anyway since I'm working on 64 b9t Win7. Also definitely am saving all of the .exe files in a safe place.

OK, looks like I have some more installing to do.
