Where has the nice black vertical synch line gone?!

After installing the new update 2230 the black vertical synch line is suddenly gone!!
Going back to 2209 (which by the way slows down absolutely nothing on my system) doesn't help.

I want my line back! Help, please...

Not sure what happened there. Installing the 2230 patch made no difference here.

Go to Preferences and check this...

Now it works, thanks very much! I hadn't unchecked anything after updating so I really don't understand how it came about but anyway, back to work... ;-)
