How can it be changed; cannot spot that option in the U.I.?

As far as I know Powerdirector's cache file location can not be changed. PD uses the User area in Windows 7 or the Windows Temp files location.

There have been attempts to move the Windows OS page file and User Area file, but not much success.

Here is a link to that attempt. I do not recommend doing this.
