Hi Antlrking -

If you've figured out how to do it in the workspace, you've done it!

Forward camera clip in one track - rear clip in another - apply mask - produce.

Here's an example (I used the same two clips but the process is the same) http://youtu.be/rhyEBFKKYs0

Cheers - Tony

Yes, you can.

Put one video on Track 1 put the other video on Track 2.

In Clip Mode.
Select the first Clip, Modify, Uncheck maintain aspect ratio, drag one side to cover one half the the screen. Click OK.

Select the second Clip, Modify, Uncheck Maintain aspect ratio. drag opposite side to cover the other half of the screen, Click OK.

If you do not want the video to be stretched do not uncheck maintain aspect ratio. That wlll make the half size video have black on some parts (Top and bottom).

If you turn on the 2x2 gird you can see where the middle of the screen is.

EDIT: I think Tony's method may be better, he does not stretch the clips.

Geez Tony, you make it so simple. I struggled and struggled for ages and finally succeeded in making a split screen and the process was nothing like how you do it and 100 times harder.

I sure am glad I am learning about the various buttons in Power Director. Before I started reading this forum, I NEVER once clicked on that MODIFY button. For years! ~Tom~

We're all still learning, Tom. You know the old saying: We know what we know & we don't know what we don't know. The great thing about trying to solve something yourself is that you learn a mountain of other stuff on the way. Go on - admit it Tom - you did, didn't you?

Another possibility, rather than a split screen, is to resize the views (similar to what Carl suggested)...

Cheers - Tony
