Every time I launch PowerDirector 10, the volume is very low. I have to open the Windows 7 mixer, and raise the volume from 5 to something acceptable. Anyone know how to keep that level raised?

Thanks,

Jim PowerDirector 365, AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-core processor 4.05 GHz, 32GB RAM, Windows 10 64-bit OS, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER

Hi Jim

The volume in PD10 can be adjusted either in PowerDirector using the Volume Slider OR when PowerDirector is open using the Windows Speaker icon

I don't know why it is, but the audio seems to be a little lower in PD10 than it was in PD9. I have found that if I click on the edit audio button and to open the wave editor, then just click close. When asked to save, I click yes. The audio is now louder, but of course I now have a wave file that I must remember to delete when done.

It's an extra step, but it works. That may not even be the same problem you are having. Just a suggestion.

Since I hadn't tried using the volume slider under the video display window, I took a look at that. It also was very low upon opening my project. So I raised to the top, and saved the project. But when I re-opened it, alas, it was back down to the bottom, and the Windows mixer slider was right back at 5.

There must be a setting somewhere to control this, or is the initial volume hard wired at 5?

Jim

PS I've given up trying to use the edit audio (Wave Editor) feature; it takes forever to open. PowerDirector 365, AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-core processor 4.05 GHz, 32GB RAM, Windows 10 64-bit OS, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER

Here I did not notice any influence of PD10 on the volume of Windons Seven.
The delay in opening the WaveEditor, happens only for video, audio separately is normal.
One thing I do, I go to Producer and saved only the audio is super fast, use the profile (waveform) in higher bitrate.
WaveEditor open standard from this new file. AMD-FX 8350 / 8GB DDR3

AMD Radeon R9 270 / AOC M2470SWD

Hi Jim

That's strange.

Have tried adjusting the PD volume using the Windows Speaker Icon as shown above.

If that doesn't work I'm at a loss as to why it doesn't work.

You could always increase the speaker volume on your PC
