Can the Matrix Effect of multiple images be accomplished by PD10?

I was referring to the Matrix Effect in the video tutorial on the the following YouTube site:

"How To Make The Matrix Effect - Pinnacle Studio 14 Ultimate Collection"

I don't want the effect to look like the movie named The Matrix.

I just want the image in the video to have a slight offset, in frames, from one movie clip to the other two movie clips. According to the above mentioned tutorial, the 2nd video clip starts 3 frames after the 1st video on the timeline, then the 3rd video starts 6 frames after the 1st video clip. This give the image a shadow following type of effect. Hope this makes sense to someone, if not then please try and watch the tutorial mentioned above.

Yes, you can in the full version - not sure about the trial!

PD10 has more PIP tracks than P*nn*cle :

All you need to do this FX is a tripod and use the 3 PIP tracks in PD10 with an interval between each one and a transparency on the PIP tracks under the 'master track'.

Note the PD10 render time is much quicker

Sorry - had hip-hop banging in my ears for the last 15 minutes.

Here's how in PD:
1. Basically, follow the steps in the Pinnacle tutorial.
2. Drop the copied video clip into track 2
3. Select it & click Modify... set opacity to 50%
4. Expand timeline to maximum (frame level) & shift clip in track 2 along 3 frames
5. Produce your matrix effect video.
6. Repeat if you like (as in the Pinnacle tutorial).

Good job Tony..... as long as the background never moves that works great.... you could use the same technique using a couple more copies in the tracks to make a vapor trail of the main subject moving out of frame....... __________________________________________

You're absolutely right, Bubba. The background has to be dead still with no pan, zoom or other movement. That's why I picked that (iPod ad) clip.

I did play around with it a little further after posting & ended up with 7 clips all offset by a few frames. It looked pretty good, but you wouldn't want to overdo it. Good for a quick effect.
