the combine option on right click menu

I'm new to Powerdirector and I love it - very intuitive, but I was surprised to see how useless the 'Combine' option is.

I want to combine an edited clip, which I took 5 seconds out of, but I can only combine the clips if you split it and didn't change anything. Sounds useless to me. Can you not just click CTRL Z?

Anyway, most recent related topic I could find was from years back, so I'm wondering if anything has changed in PD2024?

Hello,

Yes, Combine is to reattach a split clip. You can just use the "Group Clips" right click option to do what you want:
