My Sony camera records 1440 x 1080 AVCHD with Dolby 5.1 Surround sound.
In the past, I would edit the video in PD8, and then Produce an MPEG-2 file with the BD 1440 x 1080 format. I would then burn the file to a Blu-ray disk with PowerProducer. Everything sounded fine under this scenario.
I received a new Blu-ray player for Christmas that plays AVCHD disks. Now, I am using the Create Disk function in PD8 and choose the AVCHD format 1440 x 1080 w/ Dolby Digital, and write to a DVD-R disk.
A weird thing happens during the transitions in these videos. The sound level becomes LOUDER during the transitions than the normal video. It is almost as if the volume of during the transition equals the volume of the first clip plus the volume of the second clip.
I have produced 3 ACVHD disks so far and have noticed it each time. I am only using 1 second transitions so this passes pretty quick, but after 60-70 times it gets pretty irritating.
Anyone else experience this? Anyone have a recommendation?
Thanks for your help.
