Cannot capture more than 5 second of DV video from Sony TRV460 camcorder

Powerdirector 7 sees the camcorder, connected to the 1394 interface, and can control it (play, stop, pause, ...). When you press Play on the preview screen it will only play for 5 seconds, then stops. I can capture for 5 seconds then video stops. I can play back the 5 second clip with no problem. Advise?

The camcorder is what?

Write down the procedure you're using in list action order.

Is this a new miniDV tape - have you checked the Timecode start position?
