Hi Catalin,

In looking at your Screen Shot the file was only 43.3 MB in size, so it isn't too big for YouTube.

Did you try to upload the video outside of PowerDirector? Does it upload if you are logged into YouTube and you use their upload function?

I have had this happen to me at different times when trying to upload to YouTube with PowerDirector......and then all of a sudden it starts working again. No real explanation.....although Dafydd did put up a post about some login changes recently. I can't find the topic though....sorry.

Is 08:18:10 the total length? YouTube has a limit of 10 minutes, so that would be Ok. Have you tried uploading directly to YouTube, not through PD? PD may not have your user name or password saved correctly, possibly. __________________________________

Hi,thanks Kevin and Jaime.Yes I tried upload direct You Tube and not work. Curiuos ,that happens only with these tutorials.I upload to You Tube with PDR8 and work perfectly.My creation of DirectorZone is upload with PDR8 through You Tube,course. I do not know what to think.
And Kevin,file size 43MB not longer because I have created for Cyberlink Me Contest a clip greater than it and work upload You Tube and RirectorZone.
I think it is another problem.I was thinking about not to blame Camtasia.I do not know.

Usually uploading to Youtube by using the PD uploader (in order to share the time to my Director's Zone Channel), has worked fine for me. But for some reason my last upload just would not go through. It failed 3 times.

Then I noticed that for this particular upload, I had put 3 times as much text in the Description Box as I usually do. So I tried to upload once more, but this time I just entered the word "test" into the title-description-tags boxes, and then the video uploaded fine. I then went to my Youtube and DZ channels and added the text I wanted.

I have no idea why the amount of text one adds, pre upload, would make a difference in one's ability to achieve a successful upload through PD8, but it appears it this did.

PS.I was thinking to quit and Camtasia,but not too approved the idea,because is good soft and are used for a long time with him.May not be needed after test it today to make it.

I tried as you said Carsten,but unfortunately same error message appears me.
I do not know what to do? Capture made with Camtasia not be accepted by You Tube?Is uncertain.
2 files of the tutorials are .AVI 720x420, counts these details ?

I would not think that the footage that Camtasia generates is the problem. But could you right click on the footage > choose Properties > take screen capture of Properties > upload it here so we can see it?

Or, you could try to NOT upload your tutorial to Youtube directlty from the timelines, but first Produce to (for example) WMV HD Standard. Then put the WMV back in the timeline, and try to upload "that" to Youtube/DZ.
(Yes, I know doing it that way, will not share the "full" timelines on the DZ.)

I have version 2508 installed and have uploaded many videos from my Canon Vixia HF11 camera to youtube using POWERDIRECTOR.

Tonight, I shot some videos in 24bit setting of the camera. The first one failed to upload with the same error that Catalin got!!

After it produced and failed the upload, I produced it AGAIN and tried to upload it. It failed the second time. I MANUALLY loaded the same file created up to youtube and it went with no error. No special filters or fix/enhance was applied.

PLEASE NOTE...the 1.12.GIG size shown in the properties box is the size of the ORIGINAL MTS file, not the produced WMV file (that is only 87 MB).

I produced and uploaded 8 more files after this WITHOUT the error.

My issue (after further testing) appears to be related to the way Cyberlink uses memory. A reboot solved the problem. After producing 8 clips to youtube, additional reboot necessary!! Problem re-occurs after production of a number of clips, reboot always solves it!!
