Hi Graeme, the error you received was a "bug" in PD8 2220c.

OK,
1. Apply the latest patch, that's the solution.
2. Error is caused by you having an m4a, mp4 or other audio file in the time line. You'll need to convert it to an mp3 to get around the issue.

OK,

Warning: If you've purchased any SmartSound files please back these up for later re-inclusion into PD.

As is the case with all PD patches.
1. Download and place in your hard drive - in your My Documents (in its own folder). Where you've stored your full program file and contents pack installation file.
2. Double click on the file to install.
3. You'll be asked to uninstall PD8 by the program - let it run through. You'll be asked to uninstall various other bit - all these are optional.
4. Next the patch installs.
5. reinstall the contents pack

Job done.

Thank you for your help. I ran the Cyberlink.2704_Patch_VDEO90925-03.exe

It went through the install process but never promted me to uninstall anything.

It did not repair the problem. Quick questions. All the video files and am importing are avi files. Could that be the problem?

Does this really try to uninstall? Am asking because I encounter the Media-Stream Error every time randomly during the Produce process in PD8.

Screen goes black till the end and then...

Am getting the same message using PD 9, is there an update for this version? Tech support has not mentioned a patch or sound files as a possible cause...
