Some timeline clips are missing waveforms

I've attached a screenshot. I am trying to split my timelines between songs from a recorded live performance. Normally, I can go straight to the breaks in the waveform, BUT PowerDirector 365 doesn't seem to want to generate waveforms after the first few clips. Regenerate Waveform does not work. The clips are all from the same source, my Samsung Galaxy S10, so the waveform should be consistently appearing if file format compatibility is an issue. The missing waveform is very inconvenient when trying to efficiently pare down three hours worth of livestreaming down to just an hour show. I used to produce the shows on-device via PowerDirector Mobile, which I love. I switched to PowerDirector Pro once I started using multiple cameras and multiple sources for content to include (Facebook livestreams, other devices, other users, etc). and for the most part, am happy with the desktop version. I'm using a Surface Pro 4, but I've noticed the same issue on my desktop too.

There was a longtime issue with waveforms and until an offical patch was released for PD17. The following 3 steps would usually work, and maybe you can try them here and see if they help you out:

  1. With the current project open, right-click on an empty part of the Media Library and chose either Empty the Library or Remove All Unused Content from Library. (The Empty command worked on more projects than Remove did, buttry Remove first. If you do have to empty the library but don't want to lose the contents, right click in the library and choose Export Library. You can import it later)

  2. Save the project (or Save As), and then close PD. This is required!

  3. Reopen the project in PD and see if the waveforms are generated
