I've used Cyberlink since version 8or before. I've created 120 hour-long DVDs. Before the PCMover job, I physically removed from old Win 10 PC two hard drives and inserted them into my new Win 11 PC. Laplink said it would be OK. The transfer of the SSD seemed to go smodthly to the new SSD. But then in browsing my Win11 desktop, I found things missing. Like my Cyberlink 365 programs. Then I realized it had renamed the hard drives, like L: became F: and I wondered if that would be resolved in the transfer. Then I found a way to bring back the Cyberlink programs and just tested out PowerDirector. It seemed to work until I tried to play it. It complained about any video clip I inserted, clips that were used in a previous project. It seems like any video format causes the same error. It's like my HP GPU Ryzen 5000 does not work with PD. What has gone wrong? I need help. Bill Seifert

It is (from a distance) not so easy to say what has gone wrong. It may very well be that your PCMover-software has taken settings from the old system that are not valid anymore. It may be (hardware) drivers or driver settings from the old system, used by the software are not available or viable anymore, or has had upgrades that should be used. It may also be as “simple” as the lack of the right codex software on your new system (which may be why PD complains about any vildeo clip you insert) etc. etc. and.... There is in principle much more programs need than a place somewhere on a disk and a folder. With the installation process there might be specific register settings, environment setting, supporting software (like Visual C libraries) included. Even when de PCMover has discovered all links, it may still be that something is amiss in the new system.... It would think that moving to a brand-new computer and operating system, it would also be the moment to do a clean start and make sure that the system is set as it is meant to be. You can expect the system to run optimally as does the freshly install software.
The best but more rigorously and better approach would be to make sure that the old disks are safe and then do a complete reinstall of your windows system, and then use the saved document and other folders from the old disks to make them available on your new system. Reinstalling all software would be the next step. Of course, this only works if you have the installation files and registration codes etc. For Cyberlink it is easy: you simply use the Application Manager which does all the work for you.
But as said if a complete reset is not possible, I would go for a fresh installation of PowerDirector as mentioned above. Using the old disks to make sure that all your old PowerDirector file are copied to the new system (look for \user\documents\cyberlink\powerdirector. In that folder there might a number of folders with version numbers of the passed owned versions. Each of these folders may contain a number of your saved titles, particles and other stuff. It is best to have these in place before you freshly install the CyberLink programs.
