Encode MP4 to 720p or 1080p

Hi there,

is there a possibilty to encode my raw 1080p avi's to 1080p or 720p mp4s?

There are several MPEG 4 options, but I believe the only one that uses the mp4 extension may be the portable, which would not be 720p or 1080p. __________________________________

I can't speak for CyberLink, but I believe they have to pay a license fee for every version of MPEG 4 that they use, so they probably just pick the ones that they feel would be most useful. THIS is exactly my complaint against MPEG 4. It's not CyberLink's fault, but they need a common standard like MPEG 2. For example, DivX is MPEG 4, but most MPEG 4 players won't even try to play DivX. They rap them in a avi container and add their own little features making them incompatible. That's just my take on the situation. __________________________________

Okay, well. I can image that, but still, we pay a 'lot' for this program and it will not convert to everything you like.

What other output formats are there that actually will do 1080p or 720p and also upload to youtube (i think all of will do except m2ts, because it will have problems with conversion @ youtube servers).
