Problem: I am using two XLR mono microphones into the two XLR inputs of my Camcorder. The resultant audio file is a single waveform. Is there any way to balance the audio levels from the two microphones in post production? Many thanks.

Probably depends how your camera handled dual mono mics. Not sure what you mean by a single waveform, PD will only display 1 combined waveform for mono, stereo, or 5.1. More than likely the camera at least recorded stereo for 2 channels, L and R waveforms. Unsure if camera model would keep say input 1 as L and input 2 as right or if camera muxed both together as single audio stream. If muxed together, probably little one can do, if L and R, one could adjust each channel independently.

I should have perhaps said "one combined waveform". However on opening the Audio Editor it reveals separate waveforms, one from each mic. which can be edited so I think that solves mt problem. Thanks for coming back. Phil.
