hi. ive been using PD8 for a few days. i seem to have got over the early learning stages but today encountered some problems. i spent quite a few hours making up some suitable titles for some of my videos. i saved them but could not find where they were saved (for future editing)
well never mind i thought and carried on.

Today i loaded the program and ALL my titles were gone ??? also ALL the SFX and downloaded ones i had imported to the program.

im not that bothered but its a waste of time if i cant re-call my titles. they are nothing special as i say but would save me HOURS and hours of making new ones !! im not happy about this.

ok .. so lets say they have all gone into a virtual world and theres no recovery .. is there a way to SAVE a title to a folder so i can IMPORT it later? this would be much better .. cause then i wouldn't worry whether the titles get lost again.

hope someone can help. russ

Which Aspect Ratio were you working in when you created the titles, 4:3 or 16:9?

It makes a difference.

You can find the titles created are stored here:
C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR PC NAME\My Documents\CyberLink\PowerDirector\8.0

DZ stuff is added here:
C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR PC NAME\Application Data\CyberLink\PowerDirector
The above location is via hidden folders.

hi .. oh this is just perfect !!
thanks for your help. that means i can back them up for future use.
thanks again. (that was a fast reply)

about the aspect .. it seems to vary. ive a couple of cameras at the moment. i try to shoot in the highest Q to retain a good playback. ive also not long bought a cheap "keyfob" camera from online and it shoots in 4x3 raw AVI.
but hey .. who cares ... ive found my titles im happy .. hoorah !
happy new year.
russ

by the way .. PD8 is a fun editor .. loads of FX .. and so easy to make up a good video.

hey .. thats the one. its absolutely amazing Q for its size & price .. but ive found its a bit quirky. i use it strapped on my model aeroplane. i did buy a HD camcorder for other uses .. but it had no viewfinder. it was hard to see the screen in bright sunlight. just got a basic point n shoot now.
anyhow .. i will have a look round the forums.

Hi Russ,

I have a number of small cameras for FPV - 5 in all.

2 killer cmos, 1x 191 and two I got from ebay and added servo and a set up like the cmos killer on. I have one infra red camera, again from Ebay which I'm wondering what to do with 9v supply and RCA out. These are for my RC Planes

I also have 2 keyfobs. I intend putting one on a RC electric Heli. They are amazing cameras. Audio is something to smile at - brilliant.

I have two MD80's (micro cameras) which you might like to hunt out. They're likely be better to place in a RC plane. My friend uses one after I showed him where and how cheap they are. I got mine for $12.46 and with a 8gb card will store 2 hours of footage.

We might be a bit off topic with this lot. I'm sure as moderator, I wont mind

Good to know you're using this small camera - quite a few of us have them for fun.
