power dvd shuts down when started

Power DVD 8
Windows 7 Ultimate
when I shut my 19" monitor down and switch to my tv via HDMI and open power dvd, it closes immediately. It worked before, but i reloaded my PC. I have reinstalled all drivers and updates and patched power dvd. any ideas?

Good luck getting PowerDVD 8 to work with Windows7.
Some members claim they have been able to get it to work but after submitting numerous support tickets and No working fixes I gave up.

It was working great for me since i got 7. I had to patch it when 7 came out. I reloaded my pc because media player quit working right.

I once again reloaded the PC. I installed power dvd under administrator and did the same with the lastest patch and it is working!
