Bad video distortion playing HDDVD with 7.1

Using Powerdvd 7.1, with King Kong
HDDVD. I am playing the content off the
hard drive, NOT from the disc. Video is
stretched and distorted and only shows a
portion of the footage. Even when I make
the window bigger or go fullscreen, it's
the same amount of picture seen.

I think the screenshot will explain
everything though:

What is going on? How can I watch the
movie properly?

I asked CyberLink support for this problem.
Cyberlink will release a patch to fix this problem.

Good question~
The HD DVD player can't play HD DVD title from Hard Driver.
I am not sure if it's the problem.

"The HD DVD player can't play HD DVD title from Hard Driver. "

What are you saying here?

Are you saying in your case you can't do it either?

Because I know of many many people who CAN play the movie from their hard drive with the exact same methods I'm using.

So it's entirely possible, I'm not sure why it's not working for me.

Try setting the anti-aliasing option in your 3d control panel to either 2x or Application Controlled. That should solve your problem.
