Does pd 8 have an audio equalizer to adjust the highs, midrange, and low frequencies?
Does it have any kind of audio filters to remove buzz or hiss?

Thanks,

PD8 has 3 audio noise filters...
1)Reduce wind noise
2)Reduce clicking noise
3)Reduce stationary noise

They have limited ability, but remember the price point here.

If these prove unsatisfactory, you can produce your video, rip the soundtrack, and run it thru an audio program of your choice, then replace.
You can do that with individual clips also of course.

Here is a freeware I have not tried yet...but it looks promising.

Yes PD 8 has audio equilizer.

1) Open PD
2) Press F9 (audio mixing room)

After that you can also use PD8 audio noise filters...
1)Reduce wind noise
2)Reduce clicking noise
3)Reduce stationary noise

Hi comrade – Mathew,

You wrote:

Where have you found an audio equalizer in PD8’s Audio Mixing Room?
Or are you using the term “equalizer” to mean simple adjustments to audio “levels”, and not the more common meaning which refers to making High-Mid-Low frequency boosts and cuts in an audio signal?

In PDR (under Audio mixing room), you will get the sliders using which you can up and down your volume. You will not get the equalizer like we used to get in playback softwares.

Wow, I hear an echo in the room ("Barry", then "comrade - Mathew")

I use a program called Sound Forge. It is studio quality but try visiting http://www.oldversion.com to see what's out there for EQ and VU settings.

Aaron Just because you can, doesn't mean you should !
