I can't remove the fix/enhance tweaks for the music track

Hi,
I'm not sure if I found a bug or I'm just missing something...

I worked on a project which included some Fix/Enhance options relating to Audio Denoise. I split the audio from some mpg video and made a lot of timing and noise adjustments. I burnt it to DVD last night and what sounded fine on my cheap computer speakers sounds awful on my TV stereo.

I opened up the project again with the intention of adjusting the audio denoise. The only problem is I can't get to the tool to do that. If I select an object on the master track, there is a Fix/Enhance button. You can tell it has been fixed by 2 little lightening bolts on top of the image. If I select one of the sound files from the voice or music track that contains a lightening bolt there is no option to fix/enhance. If I select the video file and remove the audio fix it doesn't help, because the audio isn't on that track, it's in the music track. Using "apply to all" in the master track does nothing to the lightening bolts in the music track. I can't remember if the lightening bolts were even in the music track in the past, and if I create test videos I can never get a lightening bolt in the music track. The music track isn't locked. I've upgraded to 2220 and it hasn't helped.

I suppose I can delete the entire track and start over but that took me several hours of work, removing clicks, adjusting timing etc. All I want to do is remove Audio Denoise from that entire music track. Any thoughts on how I can do this?

Hi Mike.

I thought I had the solution, but now I need to take back what I said, so I have deleted that part.

I see what you mean, hmmm.

Hi Mike,

I can't get the audio track to have any lightening bolts either. I've only done some quick testing but I can't replicate your situation. Strange.

If I apply denoise and then split the audio, there is no denoise flag and no tools to remove the effect.

In the meantime maybe you could save the audio track only and drop it into another audio editor and see what you can do, then insert it back again?

Cheers

Well, the missing video fix/enhance problem can be confirmed. I recently had to re-install PD8 (PC warranty issue) and to my surprise some of my project's videos (why not all is an interesting question) were missing the audio tracks and some of the enhancements.

Adding a NEW MOV video file to a new project offered no audio either !
1. This was fixed by re-loading the identical version of Quictime that was installed in the first place !

2. The fix/enhacement issue could only be repaired by re-editing all the affected MOV files. The MOV files that were NOT affected were the ones that were NOT trimmed. Something to keep in mind. Win 10, i7
