Do I need to install 20 Ultra before can upgrade to 21 Ultra?

If I purchase the upgrade from 20 Ultra to 21 Ultra, do I need to install my old 20 Ultra first? Then upgrade to 21 Ultra?

My 20 Ultra is the full version. 21 Ultra would be the ugrade version.

Or can I purchase the upgrade and then download 21 Ultra without having to install the previous version?

Would rather not install the previous version and then the new one if I can avoid it.

Hello,

No, you don't need to have PowerDVD 20 Ultra installed, but you will need to enter its product key during the installation process of PowerDVD 21.

I will just need to install the 21 Ultra upgrade and then run it? When asked for the product key use the one for the 20 Ultra? Then it will work as 21 Ultra full version?

When would I need the 21 Ultra upgrade key?

Hello,
You will need your PowerDVD 20 Ultra product key to install the 21 Ultra upgrade. Then, when that is done, you will need to enter your PowerDVD 21 Ultra product key on first launch to activate the software.

Hello,

Your product key should be in your the purchase confirmation email you received when buying PowerDVD, or on the disc envelope if you purchased the box. If you don't have those anymore, you can try and contact CyberLink to see if they will provide it.
