Blend two videos with linear gradient

Hi, I need a help.
I have to blend two videos together, but in a gradual way, with a clear image at both sides and a superimposed area at the center.
I link a picture to explain what I mean. Is it possible to obtain the same effect with two videos?
Thanks.

Just a test to see what may be possible using masks. See the attached. Someone who enjoys the effects may need to work on it.

That's exactly what I meant. Is there any trick to obtain this with powerdirector? Even with a premium effect.

Hi,

https://help.cyberlink.com/stat/help/powerdirector/19/enu/14_02_01_linear_parallel_masks.html will get you started.

For more "artistic" non-linear blending, you could also make a custom mask with feathered edges. However, PDR feathers all edges of a mask equally, so you can extend the mask size outside the canvas area and only have the feathered border you require.

As per the PowerDirector Moderator’s help file link above, I created a Gradient mask to blend the videos at the center only and leave the sides untouched. The Blend Mode can also be used to supply the screen and multiply modes for more artistic effects if desired.

Here is the link to the original videos using two masks: https://youtu.be/xwAVJH-4FAA .

Here is the link to the same videos using a single gradient mask: https://youtu.be/65d9uj5Jy6w .
