Hello,
When downloading titles, previously downloaded titles disappeared. What is the reason?

Downloaded titles are made with a specific aspect ratio, so if you downloaded and installed several 4:3 titles before but are now working with as 16:9 project, the 4:3 titles will not be visible.

I don't know what this response about aspect ratios means - but I've been using this product for many years and have built up a substantial library of Titles so that now I can always find one similar to what I need and a simple modification saves me re-inventing some complex titles again. But now they have all disappeared. This is extremely disappointing and has caused me to think about moving to another movie-maker that won't let me down in such fashion.

Quote I don't know what this response about aspect ratios means

It means that if all of your custom titles were made for standard HD clips - which have a 16:9 aspect ratio - but now you're working on a project with a 4:3 (Old TV/DVD) or 9:16 (vertical) aspect ratio, none of those custom titles will be visible. They haven't disappeared, they're simply not available in the new aspect ratio.

You should be able change the project AR to the one you typically use in order to access your existing stock, then drag one of your titles to the timeline, change the project AR to the new setting, and save the custom title. It will then always be available in the new AR.

I don't know which older version of PD you have, but this is what the choices in PD17 look like:

Hi,
For completeness:
Custom titles are held in C:\Users\{username}\Documents\CyberLink\PowerDirector\19.0\MyTitles\
or whichever version they were originally designed in.
So it should be possible to check if your custom titles are still in existence!

However, determining which title is which is not so easy, as they all have sequential generic titles Title_000, Title_001, Title_002 etc.
Opening up a title location in file explorer will give you one or more .png files (depending on the complexity of the title) which may allow the title to be identified visually
or
the associated TitleTemplate.xml file can be examined and that will have the user defined name of the title under the ALIAS variable.

Laborious, but possible.

Hope that helps,
