When I record video using my Lifecam 3000 and audio using my Yeti Professional Mic, the audio and video are out of synch. How do I correct that? I tried recording the audio using the Lifecam but it sounds terrible and has a buzzing noise.

Where are you recording? In PD18's Capture room, with the bundled ScreenRecorder app, or with something else?

See this discussion for a quick way to improves your chances at syncing the two clips.

Taking a different approach, a google search indicated that lifecam 3000 unit is a webcam: something intended to be attached to a pc using usb, but physically mounted on a display. Something one might use making close personal stuff for a youtube channel.
But there is another way: have you ever considered using a camcorder or even a mobile phone for recording video, which as a bonus for your problem has good video, usually satisfactory audio, it's always in sync and perfectly portable meaning you can take it anywhere away from the PC to record material, even if you later edit the results there.

You make a great point. I used to use a camcorder, before it broke, and after recording on it, I would transfer the files from it to my PC. Then I could edit and produce them and upload to the web or burn to DVD. But since it is broken and I don't have a nice cellphone, I wanted to do it this way. It may be that I end up having to do it the way you suggested. I am wondering if it could be my computer's lack that is causing this problem.
