I think they do. You are importing a 16:9 AR video and cropping off the top and bottom to produce a wide video. They work for me to create a 21:9 AR video. See no reason it won’t work for anyone else. I have never tried cropping to 32:9 or have a 5K video to work on unless you can supply a sample file for others to check out.

5k 32:9 aspect ratio video file attached. For regular 1920 x 1080 monitors, use VLC pause and set Video/Zoom/1:4 Quarter to 1/4 screen, 5K player is okay. PAR 1.35 flag is used. This is to have no black bars seen on the top and bottom.

Someone can check this out and report the aspect ratio seen.

tomasc asked me to take a look at this discussion, and he's correct that VirtualDub2 and VLC can crop the GoPro video to 5120x1440.

First, the test video he created from a 3840x1440 source isn't quite right. It's a little bit too wide as seen in the attached "double wide" screenshot. Meanwhile the linked YouTube video does display correctly full screen on my 5K monitor as shown in the other attached image.

I made a VirtualDub2 project to crop the upper and lower 720 lines from another user's GoPro 5120x2880 HEVC video and have placed the source clip, the cropped clip and the .vdproject file all in this OneDrive folder.

The project is expecting a HEVC 100Mbps source video, and since we're cropping half of it the bitrate is set to about 50Mbps. It uses the same AAC 192kbps audio as the source file, but all of those parameters can be changed if you want.

All you need to do is load the project file and your GoPro clip into VirtualDub2 then use Save video (F7).

Bei beiden Videos 1440 von Oben beim Original beschneiden.

Interessant dabei ist, dass trotz geringerer Auflösung die M4V Datei von Handbrake schärfer und heller ist!

Sie müssen auf alle Einstellungen achten. Ich habe zwei Handbrake-Profile gemacht, eines, das 720 Linien von oben und unten entfernt, und eines, das 1440 Linien von oben entfernt. You have to pay attention to all settings. I have made two Handbrake profiles, one that removes 720 lines from the top and bottom, and one that removes 1440 lines from the top. Both profiles and the finished clips i created with them are in the OneDrive folder I linked to above.

Aber kann man in PD ein Video nicht auch beschneiden ohne das Seitenverhältnis zu behalten?

32:9 is a rather unusual aspect ratio, at least I have never heard of before. A 21:9 aspect ratio is more common and would be more useful te be implemented in PD.

What speaks against implementing both?
Or even better to be able to variably specify the aspect ratio or width and height with cropping? So to build the functionality from Handbrake into PD?
