Key frame edits are not locked to the clip, why?

Hi

Iv noticed something very odd that Iv not come across in my other editor. I had added some keys for pan and zoom then later realized I missed a gopro clip. I shifted the video clips apart and its wacked out the timing of the pan and zoom?

Question is why is the keys not locked to the clip, it seems its locked to the timeline? Is there a way ou of this issue? Iv got a whole days of editing messed up.

When you use the Crop/Zoom/Pan tool, the keyframes are locked to a specific point in the clip, but if you lengthen or shorten the clip the timing gets messed up. That shouldn't happen when you create keyframes using the PiP Designer or the Keyframe tool.

If you used the C/Z/P tool and have auto save enabled, you should be able to open up an earlier version of your project where the original edits are intact.

At that point, it's best to use Produce Range on each clip one at a time to "lock in" the edits. You can replace the original clips on the the timeline with the produced versions and then make any length or speed changes without throwing off any of the pans or zooms.
