Hi All,

I'm making a Thanksgiving Blu-ray to share with a few family members. 2 of the 4 Thanksgivings were recorded in 480p, 4:3.
The other two were recorded in 1080p, 16:9.

What settings should I apply so the entire dics looks accurate? I'm not interested in stretching/cropping the older years, I'd prefer keep them the 4:3..

Thank you!

I would use 16:9 if the majority of your videos are HD and place the 480p 4:3 AR videos in a frame such as a PiP in a thanksgiving image background. This makes the SD video smaller and appear sharper on the screen along with the HD videos.

Others may have other creative suggestions.

Tomasc is on target.
I would add that if the old video files have ragged edges, and maybe headswitching noise, use a mask. Also you may try blurring the backdrop image to some degree, and employ just a very slight movement, both of which can be keyed to go from zero to your desired level.
