New PD 18.6 - can I customize the appearance?

I want PD to open as it always did but now with 18.6 when I start PD it always gives me this annoying "Media Content / Color Board/ Background Music / Sound Clips" column, which can be clicked away to the left, yes, leaving more room for the clips - the thing is, I want PD to start and stay that way, I sure don't want to click away this column each and every time I open PD!

Also, I'm not interested in this red "Shutterstock" rectangle - can I delete that or just make it go away? It's so annoying with its bright red color.

And if all that can't be fixed: How can I revert or roll back to 18.3, please?

Thanks in advance!

What you're seeing is the new 18.6 interface, which defaults to Explorer view due to how the submenu contents have been rearranged. I'm sure they did that because there's no longer any obvious way to reach color boards and other included content.

Once you reduce Explorer view (click the left-facing chevron), PD remembers that setting for the rest of the editing session but it does get reset to the expanded view each time PD is launched.

There's also no way to remove or hide the new Shutterstock icon, and the best way to let CL know you'd like to see option for both of these things is to use Rate Us & Provide Suggestions under the File menu.

Also, there isn't any way to go back to 18.3 without explicit help from tech support, and if that's what you'd like to do you can contact them directly from here.
