Using a custom mask in video footage

I like to insert a small cinematic black bar above and beneath my video footage.
The only thing is, I always have to make a new (same) mask for every single clip...
So apparantly, there seems to be no possibility to save a mask on a video clip for using it on al the other clips in my timeline.

Unless someone has the answer...

By the way, I use Powerdirector 16.

Gilbert.

The cinematic black bars have been made years ago by several users and shared over the years. They create an image that can be placed on a lower track, save it for the next time and so be done with it.

It would be nice if beside the project aspect ratios 4:3, 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 and 360, PD also has 21:9 (is almost 1:2,35) aspect ratio. Recware: DJI Osmo Pocket, GoproHero7Black, PanasonicFZ300/HCX909, Sony PXW-X160.

There used to only be 2 choices, and the best way to let CL know that you'd like to see even more options is to use Rate Us & Provide Suggestions under PD's File menu.

Rather than having only specific, fixed ARs available for production, I think the ideal solution would be to allow user-specified ARs with some common presets.

I was unaware of this possibility, thanks. I just forwarded my suggestion. Recware: DJI Osmo Pocket, GoproHero7Black, PanasonicFZ300/HCX909, Sony PXW-X160.
