If you've been working on setting a motion tracking mask, then you save your project and close it, when you re-open the project your mask settings & keyframes should still be in place.

1. Open the project


2. Go to Adjustment > Motion Tracking Mask


3. From the Mask dropdown, select the mask (colour) you set previously


4. Open keyframes (clock icon)


5. Carry on working

Does that not work for you? Could you post screenshots of what's happening?

Now I'm away from my PC, but when I'll be there I'll try. And write then.

Well, I'm here again. Finally, I got to the computer and opened this file and it weights only 146 KB, it seemed to me suspicious.
I created another one, made short mask, just a couple of frames and saved it - it's 5 mb at once. And late I could re-opened it.
But 28 sek of video is a long-long-long hard work!! 😲 Network said me that Color Director will help me to cut moving object quickly. Now i think they tricked me😊

Аt first everything seems to be optimistic: you draw the first frame manually, click on automatic tracking and wait. Bam! and the mask is created, the object is cut out.

Only theoretically. In real life practically you have to fix every damn frame!

Now I doubt about this way, may be I should keep looking for some another method.

Oh no, no, no, no!!! 😠 It happened again!! I'm very angry and disappointed!
Sometimes because of bad contact my laptop "can't see" some of it's hard disks (that's why I saved always and very offen, practicaly every 30 seconds just in case).
And now minute ago everything was fine, my file grew up to 45 mb, I SAVED!! And then boom! My comp was shaked by the cat (f... g rat!), Color Director signed "Some file could be finded in directory" and momentarily my file became emty 145 kB.
And I can't return it any way!

I had the exact same scenario happen to me and the help given here just saved me. I really wish these programs were more user friendly but I have been using PowerDirector and the rest so long I will never change. So so very thankful to have found this post. I really thought I had done everything right. Spent about 6 hours working on a 3 minute clip and saved it 5 or 6 times along the way. When I opened it up this morning I panicked!! Thank you

I agree with Mike - I am very confused. I have tried to apply a mask. In the middle of applying it, I might hit the wrong button. So now I have a green screen through half of my video. I can't edit it. I can't used another mask to apply the green screen. I'll spend several minutes trying to create a new outline of the video to apply the green screen, and it just sits there. I can't click on green screen, I can't change it to another color - and the ability to find help is 0.

How in the world can I find the answers that I need in real time? Or do I simply need to purchase another product with better support?
