Are some features not allowed in the trial version?

I'm testing the trial version before purchase and one of the most basic functions, putting a background up with my face showing, seems impossible. I've loaded in various background photos but they just cover the camera image. I also downloaded a frame and a scene from DirectorZone but can't find anyway to add it to the frames or scenes that came with the software.

Am I missing something or is this just normal trial version behavior?

You can't replace your background in YouCam, not sure where you saw that. In PerfectCam, a different product, you can blur your background:

Microsoft Teams and Zoom are supporting custom backgrounds and blurring the background.
Wouldn't it be a nice addition if YouCam supports this as well?
