Quoted from a tech help forum:
Error: 1334 the file [filename] cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in cabinet file data1.cab this could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package."

Usually a complete uninstall would resolve that, unless the package you're using to install is corrupted somehow.

Thanks for the info. I tried the uninstall of PowerDirector 7 according to the post you provided, rebooted and tried installing again but no such luck. still getting the same error but now shows a different file that cannot be found.
